Transmission Fluid: When Should It Be Changed?

Your transmission cannot function properly without the use of transmission fluid. In an automatic transmission, it lubricates moving parts, keeps the transmission cool, and provides hydraulic pressure to make external parts work. However, fluid breaks down over time and transmission fluid is no exception. In general, you should replace your fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. It depends on many factors such as the type of car you drive and how often you drive. Here are some signs that indicate when you should change your transmission fluid:
